Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
My family's money situation is spiraling out of control. My mother and father have racked up incredible debt. A house and a condo have been taken away. Cars in the process of being repossessed. I am 30 and a newlywed. I am concerned that their debt will haunt me. I'm looking for some answers to what my wife and I will legally be held accountable for. My father is in the hospital with pancreatic cancer, and my mother goes out of her way to hide as much as she can. I'm unsure how to deal with this situation. Thank you for your time.

You are not responsible for your parents' debts.
I am very sorry to hear about your situation and your parents' situation. You are not responsible for their debts, unless you sign something holding yourself responsible. Good luck.
