Your homestead is safe from the claims of creditors, however, the second home and all other property - either real or personal can be taken or foreclosed upon by a creditor to satisfy a judgment. If there is a mortgage already on the property, it must be paid before the creditor can take the real property.
This is a very serious matter and I strongly suggest that you consult with a qualified real estate attorney in your area to review the specifics of your legal problem.
