Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Foreclosure

My son's father purchased a house in Florida and he is now deceased. The bank is trying to forclose on the home and I have received paperwork on this due to he owed me 10,000.00 in back child support when he died. I have six liens againist him due to this. They are wanting a letter from me and I do not understand why. Is it because of the liens or do I acuttally own part of the house because of this? We were never married and our son has my last name.

Re: Foreclosure

The lender is establishing its priority over other possible claimants including judgment lien holders. You said you have six liens against him and the lender is simply showing the court that they have priority over your liens.

I suggest that you cooperate with the lender, however, I do not know what kind of letter they might be requesting unless you are referring to an answer to the Complaint. You would be well advised to consult an attorney to review this matter with the specifics and make sure that you take the necessary action.
