Forgery of contract for services

I recently moved. I had security services with a local provider. The contract was signed by my roommate without my permission or consent (I did not review the contract). They are telling me that I owe them for the balance of the contract, which is substantial. Am I legally bound to pay them?

If they can prove he had authority to sign or you accepted the benefit knowing he signed.
