what do you do if you found out you were in collections from looking at your credit repost and it is more than 30 days, but there is no account number for the collection agency. how can i validate this?

Generally, you have 30 days to dispute the collection from receipt of a Notice or demand. I generally find collection agencies' phone numbers through an internet search; however, the collection agency will send demands to last know address or call on the phone.
