Garnishment

I had a car repossed a number of years ago. Now a collection agency is trying to have me settle and has left messages that I have several properties they can put a lien on and that Florida is a state that uses garnishment.

Can they put a lien on any of my assets - my home is under homestead? Can they garnishee my wages?

To answer, I need to know whether the claim was ever reduced to a final judgment. If not, how long ago did the claim arise. If yes, do you own several properties? Do you qualify as a "head of household"? Please re-submit your question with additional details.
