Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

i got hit with a lawsuit from chase credit card for defaulting on 2 different cards total of $9043.00

I am out of town for business and did receive it , my wife signed the papers. She is not part of the credit card. Was that lawsuit properly served ?
