Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

my home in florida is in my husbands and my name also our car. I have credit debt that just place a judgement on me can they take my home or car. The credit card in only in my name. I do not work I collect ss. they asked for my bank statments which I have sent to them . what can they do to me

They cannot garnish your ss. If the bank account is held by the entirerties, then they cannot take it; but only joint, they can. Check with your bank. They cannot take the home if it is homestead. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT:you will receive Claim of Exemption and Request for Hearing. You MUST FILL THIS OUT AND SENT IT BACK WITHIN 2O DAYS OF RECEIVING IT OR YOU WAIVE ALL YOUR RIGHTS, EVEN AS TO HOMESTEAD. Whether they can take the car depends on many things which you do not list, such as the value of the car.
