Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Just got a hospital bill from a collection agency. Bill is from December 1999 and was covered by auto and health insurance. I don't have records from that any longer. Can they go after me for this? I thought all the insurance took care of it.

Contact your insurance company to see if the bill was submitted and if not, contact the collection agency to have them do so. If the bill was submitted, find out why it was not paid. Many times it is a clerical errror. Finally, send a validation notice. See my website under forms for this. Want to know the law?
