Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

hospital bill

I just recevied a bill from a hospital for services I had done in 2003. This is 2007, 4 years later. Isn't there a time period for receiving a bill?

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. Unpaid bills can be sent to you at anytime. The hospital should have acted sooner, but there may have been some reason why it did not happen. Regardless, it is not barred at this time and you are responsible for payment.
