Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Hospital bill from about 11 years ago

What can I do about a Hospital contacting me regarding a bill from about 11 years ago? They said it went to collections a long time ago. I get a copy of my credit report about 1-2 times per year, and I've never seen it. Am I obligated to pay this or is there some type of statue of limitations?

In all liklihood, the statute of limitations has run. If it has,then you may have a claim for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
