Hospital take away car?

My son was in a serious car accident in Florida 1 1/2 years ago. He was served a DUI. Because of that, his insurance co would not pay for his medical expenses. They are now about $80,000+. He has moved to AL, living with me and not working yet. If he were to get a car so that he has transportation to work, could the hospital/credit agencies take it away from him? Thank you!

Once they obtain a money judgment they could pursue collection of the debt.

A judgment creditor can seek any non-exempt asset of a judgment debtor. I cannot provide you with Alabama specific reply.
