Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
House Title and Mortgage Liability
If an unmarried couple (A & B) obtain a mortgage for a house together, and only A's name is on the title, and A & B's names are on the mortgage, when B is deceased can B's creditors (i.e. credit card companies) make a claim of any kind on the house or equity in it?

Re: House Title and Mortgage Liability
A claim can be made even though it is, in the absence of fraud, without merit.
