Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Identity Theft Question

I am currently in Baghdad, Iraq and about a month ago i noticed that on my credit report that i had negative information with the address listed from my ex-wife's address. I have never lived with her (military) and have been here for the last 3 years. AT&T is pursuing me because she used my social security to open phone service without my consent. We've been divorce for over 2 years now but AT&T states that because she was my wife when the account was open I am still held responsible although I can prove I never lived at that address and have been here for the last 3 years. Are they correct or is it Identity Theft? (If not I would like some kind of site where I can print that your spouse can not use your social security without your consent).
