Re: Implementation of judgment

I am unclear what you mean by the phrase "judgment is acted upon." A small claims judgment becomes final if ten days after the signing of the judgment has passed and it has not been appealed to county court. A judgment is just a piece of paper that says A owes B. It is up to you to collect the judgment. There are several ways to collect the judgment; the court takes no action, nor can it, on its own.

Once the judgment is final, it is subject to being enforced during its lifetime. The lifetime is subject the laws of the State in which the judgment was rendered. It can be as much as 20 years.
