Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

My job received a writ of garnishment on Monday for me. I see I can file an exception with the court to request a hearing. If I file this request before my garnishment begins, will proof of filing this request with the court, from the clerk, delay the start of my garnishment until after the hearing result, if I give this proof to my payroll dept.?

The mere fact that you have declared an exemption and requested a hearing will not be enough for your employer. You will actually need to attend the hearing and win such that the Court enters an order dissolving the garnishment writ.
