Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

judgement satisfaction notification

I have filed a Satisfaction of Judgement. Do I have a legal obligation to notify the defendant that I have done this? The clerk of the court asked for an address to return the document, I gave mine. I could really care less if the defendant is aware that I did file the Satisfaction. He thinks that I haven't done it. He is threatening me with attorney action to force me to file the satisfaction, but it is already done. I also don't mind if he has to hire an attorney, due to expensive and extensive battle I originally had w/him. Will I have any monitary consequences to face if I just ignor him?

Re: judgement satisfaction notification

Yopu are obliged to deliver a satisfaction in form to be recorded. You are being spiteful and wasting other's time. Advise the attorney that it has been filed.

Re: judgement satisfaction notification

I would put a copy of it in the mail. No sense in having to be hassled by an attorney in the future.
