Judgement

9 years ago my car was repossessed.

In 2006 a default Judgement was filed against me. I was never informed of this action. On yesterday 7/17/09 My husband car was taken as a repossession as a result of this judgement. The repo occured years before I met my husband. We were told to contact this attorney, who has the file regarding the matter and othing else. My husband want want to know if this legal. On the Car title it states me ''and'' my husband name

Sorry to learn of your problem. Your situation needs to be investigated carefully by an attorney. Unfortunately, it will cost you to seek help. However, if you never received notice of the lawsuit against you which resulted in a default judgement, then the cost may be worth it.
