Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Judgements

I've got a judgement against me in another county, about 100 miles away. It was satisfied, however there was no satisfaction issued. The company is out of business and there is no attorney used on the judgement. Of course I didn't keep a receipt of my satisfaction...This shows up on my credit report and I'd like to get it off. The credit companies will not remove it until they see a recorded satisfaction. What can I do? My thoughts are to countersue and when the company can't be served or doesn't show up, it should be satisfied then...Right???? Thanks in advance

Re: Judgements

1st I would get a copy of the check that you paid it from your bank. You can then file a motion to have a satisfaction issued in front of the judgement who entered the judgement.
