How long does a judgement from a bank for a car loan stay on record.I was a co-signer and the bank went after me but I do not have the money to pay them off. Our house is in my wifes name can they put a lien on it. The judgement is about 5 years old. thankyou

Judgements are good for 20 years.

Stay as lien on property for 7 years and can be renewed for additional term.

Lien on house is only against you not wife.
