Judgements

Can someone put a judgement on you personal or on your home? So i need to know if you refinace the house do u have to pay judgement off or not? If we live in florida.

If a money judgment is entered against you, a certified copy of the judgment must be recorded in the county in which you own property, in order for the judgment to operate as a lien against your property. Most, if not all, lenders will require you to pay the judgment before the refinance or sale of your home takes place. So the short answer is yes, you will have to pay the judgment.
