Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Judgment question
I have a judgment against me in a Florida county court from Beneficial Florida Inc. since 09/1995 for $500. Is there a way I can still try to settle this with Beneficial? What would be the procedure for me to do so since it's already been adjudicated? Also, I'm having trouble finding out any contact informaion about Beneficial (no address, phone #, nothing). If I can't find out how to get in contact with them, how can I go about getting this situation resolved? What is the statute of limitations for a judgment in Florida (is it different than the other debts that have a SOL of 7 years)?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Judgment question
Yes you can still settle this lawsuit. No the statute of limitations on collection of a judgement is 20 years in Florida. Finally, Beneficial has been sold. If you want my office to negotiate a payoff the fee would be $175.00. We would locate the company that purchased Beneficial and negotiate the judgement. Have a great day.
