Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Is it legal for a debt collector to call a family member of mine that does not live with me and give them the case reference number and tell them to have me call them? This family member now knows what is going and some personal financial problems, thanks to the debt collector.

If that's the only information that the debt collector gives to the other person, then, yes, that's allowable.
