The board of directors has the right make assessments to the owners. If owners do not pay the assessments, then it is up to the board of directors to decide how to deal with the situation. The association can work out a payment plan with the delinquent owners or put liens on their homes. The important thing is to be consistent in how the board is dealing with owners.

Our firm represents a number of condominium and homeowners' associations. We offer a free initial consultation and would be happy to discuss the situation with you.
