Is it legal to reposses a vehicle for only two late payments? Then request 5 times the monthly payment to get the vehicle back?

Unfortunately, you are probably dealing with a used car dealer and possibly on the spot payments. This is a typical scam of the used card dealerships. The devil is in the details. Look at your paper work. If you defaulted, the dealership can call the shots. This is a good way to sell and resell used cars for them.
