Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
What can they legally do to us if we let a car be reposesed?

First, they will sell the car at auction. Then, if the auction brings less than the amount you owed under the loan (it will), they can either sue you for the deficiency or send it to collections.
Sue you for what is owed after they have sold the car at auction.
The above is true, but bear in mind the there are laws that require repossession be done according to the law. Most do not follow the law and I suggest that the minute you receive notice of the sale that you run to a consumer lawyer. If they do not follow the law, you may owe then nothing.
