have heard in the state of florida your home is your homested and this is one of the states that a creditor cannot touch your home. if a judgement is placed against you can they lein your property if the house is in two names and only one individual has the debt.

Yes, a lien can be placed on your house as long as the house is owned by you.

A judgment lien is EFFECTIVE against all non-exempt property of the judgment debtor to the extent of the judgment debtor's interest therein. If a lien is claimed against exempt property then a court order must be obtained which will state the the lien is NOT effective as against the homestead property.
