Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

leins, judgments, and garnishment

According to a collection agency, I owe about $3,300, they have offered a settlement of $2,313. I was advised that in order to secure this settlement I would have to give some banking info whether it be mine or someone who would allow me to use theirs. And I would need to do this in by 7/31 or the above titled actions would take place. Is there any thing that can be done legally on my part to avoid this? I have tried to make some kind of arrangement but no takers. I obviously do not have the money to pay this, what can be done?

Re: leins, judgments, and garnishment

Do not provide the information. If settlement is top be made have the agency put it in writing before you send any funds. If possible have your attorney effect the settlement for you.
