Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Lemon Law, Arbitration, Vehicle return

I recently had a final repair attempt on my vehicle that I lease. The problem has been going on for about a year. It would not surprise me if it goes to arbitration. If the judgement goes in favor of the manufacturer, what might be the ramifications if I dropped the vehicle of at the nearest dealership, turned in the keys, and did not pay the remaining payments? I would assume it would go down as a repossesion. How deep can this go with regards to my crdit cards, my home, etc.?

Re: Lemon Law, Arbitration, Vehicle return

This is not a wise course of action. A judgment can have serious effects on your credit, and once recorded, operates as a lien against any real property; and can operate as a lien against personal property.

You should seriously consider consulting an attorney to assist you in preparing for, and participating in, the arbitration.

You need to file lemon law and my office handles lemon law cases. If you leave the car at the dealership that is a voluntary repo which in tern can hurt your wallet and credit. Please contact my office should you wish to file lemon law.
