Once you properly charge off a debt in Bankruptcy court -- Zero. If that is happening, please contact my office as you have a law suit for violating the FDCPA [more information is on my web page www.FLORIDACREDITLAWYER.com]
If the charge off was by a credit card company, then it is a differenet story. General law says the statute of limitations is 5 years from the date of the last payment received.
There may be other violations by the debt collection agency, so I would still contact our office on Monday for a free telephone consult.
