Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I live in Florida. My husband had approx $320K in medical bills prior to his death. His Medicaid was just approved this past week. I am receiving calls from collection agencies as it took a long time to get the Medicaid approval. Am I responsible for any of his medical bills?
