Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Hi, I live in Florida. My question is: I gave someone a deposit of $100.00 for a horse. They sold the horse to someone else without telling me. I asked for my deposit back, but they will not return it. I have a letter stating that I put down a deposit along with a string of emails about it and my request. What legal action can be taken to get my money back?
