Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I have lived in Florida over a year and have been unemployed for 12 months out of 16.

I have about $12,000 in credit card debt and am being told by one creditor that they are getting a judgment against me. What is my options.

Thank you

You must be sued to have a judgment against you. Only a court may render a judgment against you. After being sued, and after a court issues a judgment, the plaintiff (credit company) will have to move the court to enforce judgment (another legal proceeding that you should be privy to).

As for options.... one would have to fully evaluate your situation to have any clue what options you may have.
