Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I took out a loan with citifinancial back in 2007. I made every payment on time until I was laid off from my job. I called customer service to see if something could be worked out on my payments due to my laid off and was told that it wasn't their problem & they wanted my payment by the due date. When I couldn't make the payment on the due date they when ahead and started a lawsuit against the following week. I responded to the lawsuit and the judge dismissed the case. Today I just received a phone call from a different collection agency on behalf of citifinancial and am unsure what to do now.

Although the case was dismissed, you may or may not be liable for the debt. Just the same you should continue the fight.
