Loan Payments

I would like to know if there is a limit of time that a college or universtiy can come back and say you owe them money. I do have a copy of the promisory note that I signed but they just contacted me after graduating 7 years ago. Am I responsible for paying off the loan? Thanks

If it is a government guaranteed student loan, no.

Depends upon type of loan and what the note states.
