Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Is it right I lost my home?

Briefly, I lost my home due to neglegance on the part of 2 parties, both held the mortgage.

I refinanced my home and stated that I wished for property tax to br removed with payments made. The finance company sold my loan to another group. This year I learned that my taxes had not been paid in the 3 years the loan was written and that the house was going to be sold. I phone the current financers who assured me that they wished to protect their investment, i.e., me and my home, and would send out the checks for the taxes. I, in turn, stopped trying to raise the cash believing they would do as they stated.

The checks arrived after the house had been sold. Mentally I'm drained and their answer to me is.....Oh well, guess you'll have to live with it. However, they didn't get the full amount from the sale of the house. Is there any legal course I can take to NOT pay them that cash? Anything, any help you can give me would be most appreciated.

That is a horrible ordeal. You can defend a lawsuit brought by them and raise counterclaims at that time. I doubt they are going to come after you though.
