Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I have lost my insurance. My family owns a business. If I am hospitalized without coverage, can they come after my business? We are an S corp and my wife is the owner.

If your wife owns the business and has not agreed to be responsible for your medical payments, then the hospital cannot touch the buisness. If they try to, it would be a violation of Florida's Fair Debt Collections Act as well as the federal statute on this issue.
