Marriage and debt responsibility

I am engaged to a man who is currently making payments to an ex-wife as well as other debts. After we are married, should anything happen to him or if he defaults on said payments, am I, as his wife, in any way responsible for any debts incurred by him prior to our marriage?

In most jurisdictions you would have no liability.
