If I get married and my spouse owes money to the IRS or other debit, Will inherit his debit? Or can I keep my accounts separate from his and file taxes separate?

You don't assume your husband's private debt (debt to credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, etc) upon marriage. Whether the IRS would consider you responsible for his personal tax debt incurred prior to marriage is a question you should ask of a CPA who prepares personal taxes OR a tax attorney. In general, though, filing your income taxes as married filing jointly is the best filing option for nearly every married couple. Even if you file your taxes as married filing jointly, you can always keep separate checking accounts, investment accounts, etc.
