medical and credit card debt

my wife passed away in january from breast cancer. she left many unpaid medical and credit card bills. am i responsible to pay these

I am very sorry for your lose.

If you did not sign a note or an agreement for payment of the medical bills, then the answer is no. You are not responsible for the medical bills. If the credit cards were solely in your wife's name, and you did not use them, then you also would not be responsible.

Probably not unless she had some life insurance or estate that you failed to pay the bills out of.
