Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

my mom's bills

I am on my mother's check and savings account. Just to be able to write checks and deposit money for her while she in away. She will soon be defaulting on some of her charge accounts - her health bills far exceed her social security benefits. Will I be responsible for her credit card debt since my name is on her checking and savings accounts? My name is not on any of her charge accounts- thanks Joanne

No. Unless you agreed to be responsible for the debt by joining in on the application or signing as a guarantor, you cannot be held liable for your mother's debts.
