If they obtain a money judgment, they can attempt collection. She may have defenses available. Do not default.
See a consumer lawyer for help. Contact me www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com or someone from NACA, National Association of Consumer Advocates.
I would like to put those people behind bars for doing such tactics. No, she is not going to lose her home or car. If they have gotten a money judgment the best that can do is place a lien on her property so that in the event she tries to sell it they could be paid. However if she is head of household, she has defenses. Mr. Marino is absolutely correct in advising you to look for a consumer lawyer for help.
