Can my mother get sued for the remaimimg balance owed on a Kia car she co-signed on for my niece when she turn the car in because they neither could pay for the car?

If there is still money owed on the loan, then it is possible that the company that provided the auto loan could sue both your mother and your niece. However, your mother or your niece may be a candidate for bankruptcy, and that might wipe out the debt entirely. Yes, but make sure she keeps all documents sent to her regarding the sale of the vehilce. A vilation of the law on the dealer's or finace company's part could absolve her of the debt. See www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.cpm
