Not from the question you have posed. The nursing home can onlyh place a lien on that which was not considered homestead property. If the person at the home had a home and had any intention of returning to the home, then that is homestead property and they can not put a lien on it. Is this person deceased? Have you probated the estate? If you signed a document stating that you were responsible for the debt, then you may be liable.
