past due notice

can envelopes be stamped with past due and mailed to a patient?

I believe the only place to put "Past Due" is on the bill inside the envelope. Putting Past Due on an envelope may be confusing to the Post Office.

It can, but you risk violating aspects of the FDCPA..especially if you are not the creditor.
