Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I took out a payday loan from the internet I live in Florida and the loan company is from Las Vegas NV.

Their Attorney called me today and stated that They submitted 3 electronic payments to Bank of America 1 for about $230 the other about $240 and the other was for over $600.00 it is over $1100 dollars now and they stated that I will be charged with a Felony? is that true? The original loan was for $600.00 dollars.I though you can be charged with a crime for a payday loan? They will not settle for less than $950.00

They stated that the Florida Attorney Generals office will charge me with a Felony? It does not make any sense. If the payday loan is the one that kept submitting payment to the bank.

It is an exaggerated threat used to intimidate borrowers who are unable to

pay. It is not a felony unless there are facts not described in your inquiry.

Such lenders raise fears of convictions and prison which are completely

unwarranted, unprofessional, and unethical. If they won't accept your best

offer, there is little you can do, but don't submit to empty threats.
