Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

who pays this bill?

I am recently divorced. My ex- husband keeeps recieving a bill for cell phone service. the bill was under his name and SS#. Although the phone he was billed for was the phone i was using, am I still responsible to pay if the bill isnt in my name? I have called the carrier and sorted out some of the charges, some of which are his. He is threatening to take me to small claims court, so i would just like to know where I stand.

Once you knew it was not being paid for you were to stop its use. You would thereafter also be responsible for payment.
