Personal Loan

Is there any recourse to collect on a personal loan for $5,000.00 in my name that I made to a family member that has failed to make the verbally agreed upon payments? Personal property is involved (automobile)but not in my name. Can this property be confiscated as part of payment? What would be the best course of action to take? Thank you for your help!

You can file a lawsuit to collect on the personal loan. That starts the whole process rolling.
