Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Post dated checks

I was just wondering if in the State of Florida it is legal to request someone to pay with a post-dated check.

I was contacted by an attorney to pay an outstanding debt and informed them that I would not be able to make a payment until March, an atttorney contacted me and requested that I send my first payment in now, January 16th with a post dated check. Is this legal in the State of Florida?

Thank you,

Re: Post dated checks

Yes it is legal. Make sure you have funds to cover it on the day due.
