Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Privacy of information
I had a company credit card.By mistake I had some personal charges on the card. I paid the charges but was fired anyway... in my final meeting they produced a log sent to them from the credit card company showing each datethe credit card contacted me as well as a transcript of my private conversation..I gave no authorization for them to do this... they provided the log to my immediate supervisor as well as a listing of all my charges etc... do I have any legal recourse against the credit card company for providing personal information and against the company for using this information .The front of the card only listed my name and not the companies name.

It was the company's credit card, not yours. You were only authorized by the company to use the card, and obviously not for personal use. The fact you paid the charges is immaterial. This is really not a collection issue, but a matter of employment law.
